Today I worked with my ACTIVboard trying to figure out all the amazing things we can do with it in the classroom. You guys are going to love this piece of technology. One great thing about it is that I can show you Web sites and interact with them.

Today I learned how to use the Document Camera. This piece of equipment is going to be great when we start discussing how to use an iPod and when I want to show pictures from different text books or various items that go along with my curriculum.

Today was an amazing day in my classroom.  All of the student work surfaces were installed along with new round tables and some really cool stools to use at the computer work stations.  Everything arrived except for my new desk :-(

Check out the pictures of my almost complete classroom.  I am starting to see the big picture and am so excited about school starting in a couple of weeks!!!

Today was a big day. I purchased 6 iMac computers, an iPod Touch learning lab and 25 iPod Touches, an iBook laptop, and 2 wireless airports that will enable my classroom to be totally wireless.  It’s going to take two to four weeks to arrive.  I can’t wait to experiment with these items.

Today I attended a workshop that helped me decide to purchase a Promethean Active Board for my classroom. I also purchased 32 Promethean ActiveExpression student response systems, which are similar to a cell phone in retrospect that you can text in your answers. Both of these are great tools for science classrooms and my students are going to love them!!!!
