One thing that I learned from attending this class is that I already have the capability to start my paperless classroom through Gresham’s website. We already use the class blogs and we are going to start using the quiz option to take quizzes online and I am going to allow you all to upload a homework assignment very soon. These two options are going to be extremely easy to use and I think you are going to enjoy them. I will keep you posted about tomorrows class. Using Wikis and Podcasts. I’m sure I going to learn some amazing things!!! Don’t forget…BEHAVE

I’m sure some of you have noticed that I’m not in the building today.  Well I’m on my way to the Florida Educational Technology Conference in Orlando, Florida.  I am going to be attending various workshops about using technology within the classroom.  Here are just a few of the ones that I’m going to attend:

The Paperless Classroom

Bring the Power of Wikis, Blogs, and Podcast to YOUR classroom

Making Education Stick

I’m going to try and take pictures and make postings about each of the workshops that I attend.  So stay turned to see where in the world I end up.  AND BEHAVE!!!!!

Ok parents it’s the start of a new nine weeks and I have decided to start it off with a bang or rather an Oreo Moon Phases lab.  I need your help though.  I don’t have the funds to purchase the materials needed for the lab this Friday.  If you could help donate any of the following materials I would greatly appreciate your donation.  Please see the list below:

Oreos-snack pack size-must have icing on them

Vanilla icing

Paper Plates

Plastic spoons and knives

I need these no later than Thursday since our lab is on Friday.

Thanks Mrs. Alvey

To say that this conference was amazing would be an understatement. After speaking with some many teachers, reps, tech coordinators I have a whole lot of tricks to add to my bag of goodies. Let me know your thoughts on the self-paced Space quiz we took today in class. Thanks for behaving so well while I was away!!!!
